PenzaNews. 849 third and subsequent children were born in families living in the Penza region over the first five months of 2018, which is 110 more than in the same period of 2017. This was said by the press service of the regional Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Demography.

"During January-May 5,535 large families received a monthly allowance for the third and subsequent children until the child reaches the age of three. The total amount allocated for these purposes equalled 256 million roubles including 139 million from the regional budget," the department noted.

The press service specified that altogether since the implementation of the presidential decree No. 606 as of May 7, 2012, "On measures of demographic policy implementation in the Russian Federation", that is since January 2013, 9,839 children had been born in the Penza region.
