By tradition, as such meetings of students with media representatives are held regularly, editor-in-chief of the news agency PenzaNews Pavel Polosin held a short tour around the editorial office and spoke about working conditions of journalists.

Then, the interaction continued in the press centre, where the image of the agency's website was shown on a large screen in a real-time mode. Pavel Polosin demonstrated the main sections of the online resource making a special emphasis on such sections as Photos, Biographies, Analysis, as well as the English version of the website.

During the meeting the students actively asked different questions about media activities including those associated with the production and distribution of content, verification of information before publishing it as well as work of journalists with sources.

Separately, Pavel Polosin drew attention of the first-year students to a large variety of functions a journalist should perform – they should not only be fluent in computer technology, have a high level of literacy and a great outlook, but also know a foreign language, possess the skills of conducting photo and video shooting as well as be able to deliver created materials to the editorial office rapidly using different means of communication.

The meeting, which lasted more than an hour, finished with taking photos together as a memento.
