Penza, 3 July 2018. PenzaNews. Reconstruction of the square named after V.L. Lenin in Penza, which will cost the city budget almost 80 million roubles, has entered the active phase.

To date, the territory has almost completely been enclosed with a brown metal fence, where a construction certificate was placed.

It says that the customer is the department of capital construction of Penza headed by Igor Umnov; general contractor is LLC Tekhstroy, which previously submitted the only bid for a corresponding electronic auction; the designer is LLC Architecture Studio of Alexander Breusov.

Complete overhaul is planned to be finished in December 2018, but on June 18 when attending an off-site meeting, Ivan Belozertsev urged to complete the planned volume of work earlier – by November 7.

At the moment preparatory works are conducted. At the place where asphalt was removed a year ago, the coating was dismantled completely. Experts level the ground that is planned to be transformed.

As a result of territory fencing, the number of parking spaces decreased, which created certain difficulties for motorists.

The reconstruction also affected the work of a McDonald's fast food restaurant, in the vicinity of which the fence had been installed. In order not to lose customers, the restaurant placed a banner on the fence stating that the catering company continues to operate in a normal mode.

Residents of Penza watch with interest what is going on through openings in the metal structure. Officials of the Penza region, who can monitor the progress of the reconstruction from windows of their offices, are in a more advantageous position.
