Penza, 4 July 2018. PenzaNews. The regional Left Front department spread on the Internet almost a 10-minute video about ex-officer of the Federal Security Service, founder of an Internet medium Alexander Tuzov, who depends on his wife – a civil servant. The video actually contains a call to head of the Penza regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Sergei Schetkin to exclude Tuzov from the public council under the regional MIA department since such people "are a disgrace for the whole law enforcement system".

"Alexander Tuzov rallied a lot of people against himself – journalists, entrepreneurs, defrauded construction investors, managers of different enterprises. Why are all these people hostile to the former security officer?" head of the Left Front movement in the Penza region Victor Khomets asks the question at the beginning of the video.

According to him, over several years many honest people became the subject of attacks and insults: Alexander Tuzov "accused them of all mortal sins" on his website.

"Tuzov does not only write nasty things about nice people but also supports them with statements to law enforcement agencies – the Federal Security Service, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor's Office. He writes reports to all possible authorities, he writes them in hundreds. I think you will agree that such worthless statements distract police officers and law enforcement agencies from their real work," Victor Khomets says.

According to him, Left Front disclosed this pseudojournalist in April 2017.

“We have proved that Tuzov is protected by officials from the regional government, who simply want to remove unwanted people. Subsequently this was partly confirmed by former head of the gubernatorial office Viktor Rubtsov, and vice-governor Valery Savin,” the opposition activist notes.

At the same time, Victor Khomets emphasizes that Alexander Tuzov, who "tries to tell others what to do" is not a role model.

In particular, the Left Front coordinator reminds of the fact that the member of the public council under the police lost hundreds of thousands of roubles to the founder of the news agency PenzaNews on claims for illegal use of photographs, his attempts to smear the independent media failed and now the ex-officer of the Federal Security Service is not allowed to leave the country.

"In his own words, his website does not bring him any profit. He is dependent on his wife that supports him and his children. His pension, again in his own words, is used to pay for his car, which was bought on credit. As I understand, he is not going to work anywhere. Why would he look for a job if he is busy with 'a noble cause', as they say, denouncing honest people?" Victor Khomets asks the question again.

In addition, the opposition activist says that the member of the public council under the Penza region department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Alexander Tuzov, "writes slander against his neighbour [Irina Chernyshova] – a single mother who raises two minor children", one of whom is a disabled person of group I.

"We were recently at her house and filmed the video. She told us everything very emotionally, she was crying. I do not understand at all how it is possible that a former officer can oppress such a woman, and the woman in general. I mean that he writes complaints against her almost every week. All this happens because of a piece of land," Victor Khomets says.

According to Irina Chernyshova, for a long time she has been asserting her right over a fence, which she previously had installed to enclose a small plot of land near her shabby house she had been granted for improvement in order to prevent the growth of a rubbish heap and protect her children from citizens leading an asocial way of life.

According to her, Alexander Tuzov was among those who recommended her to install the fence, he saw her attempts to improve the territory on her own but later when the fence was installed using borrowed money it became clear that "the compassionate neighbour" began to write reports against her.

Irina Chernyshova assumes all that was done "for personal gain" as regulatory bodies had previously accused him of squatting almost 200 square metres.

"As soon as I had fenced the territory, all that started: 'This Madame Chernyshova is a favourite of Victor Kuvaytsev [the head of the Penza administration], she is a favourite of this and that person, she is allowed to do this, and I am not'. [...] As a result I understood that he had started this fuss just because he wanted to appropriate these 200 square metres of land.

She also notices that she does not know who and how allowed her neighbour to build a two-story brick house in the 2000ies at the place where once an arboretum had been located, where trees of special botanic value grew.

The video finishes with an appeal to head of the Penza region department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Sergei Schetkin and the governing body of the police.

"Dear Sergei Mikhailovich! Such people as Mr. Tuzov are a disgrace to the council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to the whole law enforcement system. We sincerely hope that you will make a rightful decision and people like Alexander Tuzov will leave the public council under the MIA regional department," Victor Khomets says.
