Penza, 5 July 2018. PenzaNews. The regional public organization Blago Daryu announced the launch of the channel Great Small Penza on YouTube, which will broadcast programmes about local non-profit organizations weekly during six months.

The project is planned to be implemented in partnership with the health and wellness centre Blago Daryu, public charitable foundation Civil Union and the independent non-profit organization Studio Dialogue with the use of the funds of a presidential grant in the amount of 500,000 roubles.

As explained on the website of the organization Blago Daryu, non-profit organizations do a lot to solve various social problems in the Penza region including rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, opening of shelters for stray animals, provision of psychological assistance to those who require it and search for missing people, but society is often unaware of these initiatives.

"Inability to understand the role of non-profit organizations and non knowing how successful they are affect the level of charity in general," the description of the project notes.

It is specified that any non-profit organization can become a participant of the programme – they are suggested to communicate basic information about its activities to the audience within 20-40 minutes.

The project also includes the conduct of workshops on the topic of interaction with the mass media.
