20-metre ball installed in Sputnik on July 15 for one day

The campaign Superball, in the framework of which an inflatable soccer ball with a diameter of 20 metres was installed, was held in a field opposite the embankment of Sputnik City in the village of Zasechny of the Penza region on the last day of the World Cup, July 15.

The object was pumped and attached to concrete blocks with cables. It attracted the attention of local residents and vacationers who actively shared photos of the unusual sight on social networks.
As president of the charitable fund Obereg and initiator of the project Maxim Kulikov told PenzaNews, the installation of the ball took place in the morning due to technical reasons and not at 16.00 as it had been planned before.
He noted that the large ball had been captured on video, which was planned to be sent to register the record ball size in Russia.
"We have received a number of good reviews, many people supported us," the interlocutor added.
Maxim Kulikov explained that the ball had been blown off in the evening of the same day and then it was to be returned to the Chelyabinsk company Nebo, which had rented it out.
