Penza, 18 July 2018. PenzaNews. The measure of restraint in the form of home arrest was chosen by court against 84 suspects or accused residents of the Penza region in the first half of 2018. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service for Execution of Punishment.

"According to records of the regional criminal-executive inspection, since the beginning of the year, the total number of people convicted without deprivation of liberty amounted to 4500 including 39 minors," the agency said.

The press service noted that as a result of the six month it was decided to organize a more effective interaction with local authorities and community councils for the prevention of repeated crime, as well as to optimize social and psychological work with prisoners.
