Those who participated in the event included Left Front activists, Komsomol members, representatives of the officially unregistered United Communist Party as well as residents that are not included in any party or movement and had found out about the prepared campaign from announcements on the Internet and decided to express their civil position.

Everyone could put signatures under the petition after its text was read by regional coordinator of Left Front Victor Khomets, who had previously placed a banner cursing United Russia due to the upcoming increase of the retirement age at an overpass in Penza.

Then the initiative group went to the public reception room, an employee of which was surprised by the unusual size of the petition.

As the press service of the Left Front regional department told PenzaNews, on reading the text, the man asked to fill in an application in a standard form, which was done, and then the activists returned to the participants of the national gathering and informed them about passing instructions to United Russia.
