Penza, 6 August 2018. PenzaNews. 46 counterfeit banknotes were revealed in the second quarter of 2018 in the Penza region, which is 23% less than in the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Volga-Vyatka main department of the Bank of Russia in the Penza region.

According to the institution, most counterfeit banknotes were in denomination of 5,000 roubles – 30 pieces, which made up 65%.

14 counterfeit notes of the Bank of Russia in denomination of 1,000 roubles and one – in 50 roubles were also found.

In addition, a counterfeit banknote in denomination of 100 US dollars was revealed from April to June.
