Penza mayor and his colleagues join Bike to Work event

Penza, 21 September 2018. PenzaNews. Head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev along with city hall officials and heads of municipal enterprises joined the all-Russian event Bike to Work on Friday, September 21.

The participants included, in particular, vice mayor Yuri Ilyin, head of the Penza Department of Culture Vera Feigina, head of the City Department of Municipal Property Denis Leontyev and head of the Department of Housing and Public Utilities Maxim Ivankin.
They started from the stele at the Olympic alley and rode along the way different from that selected for the event last year - along Lermontova, Sovetskaya, Karla Marksa, Moskovskaya and Pushkina streets finishing the ride near the Penza administration.
The mayor thanked the participants, wished them a good mood and a productive working day as well as congratulated everyone on the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Victor Kuvaytsev noted that the bicycle was an environmentally friendly mode of transport.
"In addition, it provides physical activity. It is known that cycling 30 minutes a day is enough to support oneself in a good physical condition," he said.
The head of the city administration reminded that over that last three years the number of cycle lanes had increased by approximately 20 km, the press service of the city hall informs.
