Penza, 20 September 2018. PenzaNews. No applications have been submitted for participation in the electronic auction to determine the general contractor that is to complete the reconstruction of the circus in Plekhanova street in Penza. This follows from the protocol published on the official website of public procurement.

According to provided data, the customer is the Ministry of Culture of Russia but the auction was held by the federal state company Russian State Circus Company (FSC Rosgostsirk).

The initial (maximum) price of the contract was 1,267,114,110 roubles. The funding source was the federal budget.

In the absence of bids the electronic auction was declared failed.

On Thursday, September 20, the start to a new procedure was given – a request for proposals in an electronic form was announced, which is different from the auction. It is possible to apply within the next eight days.

The initial (maximum) price of the contract was the same – about 1.3 billion roubles.

As it was reported before, the former circus building in Penza was closed for reconstruction in summer 2011; in December 2012 it was almost completely dismantled.

Initially the construction of a new building was planned to be completed in late 2014, however, the terms were repeatedly postponed.

Over the last few years work on the site has been frozen.
