Meat producers and traders fined 1.2 million roubles in Penza region

Penza, 12 October 2018. PenzaNews. 167 decisions on the imposition of fines amounting to more than 1.2 million roubles were issued in the Penza region in the first nine months of 2018 in connection with the violations identified in production and sale of meat products. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

According to the department, over 450 samples were studied from January to September.
All samples complied with sanitary and chemical parameters, hygienic requirements on the content of antibiotics and GMOs, as well as with parasitological and radiological parameters.
However, 35 samples out of 463 ones did not meet the standards for microbiological parameters, other 25 out of 231 samples failed to comply with physicochemical parameters including 12 that were suspected of counterfeit.
The inspection revealed such violations as the sale of products without documents confirming its origin, quality and safety, neglect of disinfection regime, non-compliance to the maintenance of premises and equipment and others.
Altogether, 192 consignments of meat products weighing a total of approximately 416 kg were withdrawn from sale.
