Penza, 11 October 2018. PenzaNews. The third interregional forum Active Longevity will be held at the premises of the M.Y. Lermontov Penza regional library on Wednesday, October 17.

The event was organized by the foundation Civil Union with financial support of Presidential Grant Foundation and Charities Aid Foundation.

"It is planned to hold a plenary session Long-term Care and Dementia in the Light of Current Gerontological Knowledge featuring an expert from Moscow. In addition, representatives of seven Russian regions – the Penza, Saratov, Tambov, Voronezh, Ryazan, Lipetsk regions and Mordovia – will present the most interesting projects discussed in the sphere," project manager of the Civil Union Foundation Evgenia Konovalova told PenzaNews.

She added that volunteer of the project Children of War, former doctor Lyudmila Murygina will hold a lecture on medical aspects of ageing.

"In addition, representatives of the search group Lisa Alert – Natalia Anikina and Ekaterina Samsonova will give practical advice both for the elderly and their adult children on what to do not to get lost and what relatives should do in case a pensioner disappears," the interlocutor explained.

Evgenia Konovalova noted that during a break a Humorous Rhyme Battle featuring participants of the project Children of War will be held.

It is expected that the event, registration for which is already open, will bring together about 120 people – professionals of non-profit organizations, representatives of social facilities, as well as the authorities involved in the support of elderly people.
