Penza, 30 October 2018. PenzaNews. 8,648 children were born in the Penza region from January to September 2018, whereas the number of new-borns over the same period of 2019 was almost 5.5% more and amounted to 9,146. This was evidenced by data of Rosstat.

At the same time, the number of deaths increased by almost 3% — from 14,295 to 14,668 people.

The natural decline in the population of the Penza region for the first nine months of 2018 amounted to 6,020 people. For the same period of 2017 it was less amounting to 5,149 people.

As it was reported by PenzaNews before, in general in Russia the birth rate had fallen by almost 5%, and the number of deaths had increased by 0.4%.

The natural decline of the country's population for the first nine months of 2018 amounted to 173,355 people.
