Penza, 10 November 2018. PenzaNews. The route network of Penza should be changed in favour of high-capacity buses and ground electric transport. Such an opinion was expressed by mayor Victor Kuvaytsev at the meeting on transportation service that took place in city administration on Saturday, November 10.

"The development of transport infrastructure should be comprehensive. It is necessary that Penza residents could get to the right place quickly and comfortably from any point of the city, including the outskirts," he said.

Yulia Eremina informed Victor Kuvaytsev that Penza transportation companies had submitted 14 proposals for network optimization: three of them referred to the closure of routes of small-class buses, the same number – to route changes, five proposals suggested reduction in the number of fixed-run taxis and three ones – the change of vehicle class.

He noted that these proposals should be taken into account when planning regular transportation of the city for 2019.

Yulia Eremina also added that the draft order on change of the scheme of the route of bus No. 40 from ZIF settlement to Neftyannik, which is planned to be prolonged up to the stop "Austrina street", had been prepared, the press service of the City Hall informs.
