The residents were offered three candidates – that of Russian thinker, publicist, critic and philosopher Vissarion Belinsky, realist writer Alexander Kuprin and poet, playwright and novelist Mikhail Lermontov. One of the names will complement the official name of the Penza airport.
The voting will last until November 30.
The choice can be made on the principle of "one voice-one airport-one name" in several ways: on the website великиеимена.рф, on social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki, by calling the hot line phone: 8-800-707-93-17 and using questionnaires.
Summary statistics of the voting will be reflected on the main page of the project with a daily update at 12.00.
The winners will be announced on December 5.
