Igor Komarov presents state awards to Valery Zherikov and Igor Borisov

Nizhny Novgorod, 27 November 2018. PenzaNews. In Nizhny Novgorod plenipotentiary representative of Russian President in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov presented state awards to residents of the Volga Federal District who had achieved professional and creative success including two Penza residents – Valery Zherikov, a driver-instructor of locomotive crews of the operating locomotive depot, and Igor Borisov, the general director of LLC Gazprom Mezhregiongaz.

Addressing the audience, Igor Komarov noted that the ceremony was organized on the eve of the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation.

"Our duty is to respect and follow the norms and national values laid down in the Constitution, to build a state based on the rule of law," he said.

The envoy added that he was especially pleased to present an order of Parental Glory to the spouses Zakhvataevs from the Kirov region and Alexeyevs from the Ulyanovsk region, who brought up ten and eight children, respectively.

The awards were also presented to representatives of the media, agriculture, health, culture, sports and other spheres.

Valery Zherikov was awarded with a Second Class Order For Merit to the Fatherland for his great contribution to ensuring safe and stable operation of railway transport in the Penza region.

At the end of the solemn event, the plenipotentiary envoy stressed that all the participants of the ceremony were united by one thing – struggle to achieve high results in their fields.

"The fate of each of you is proof that a person who has found a true calling in life is able to conquer the most difficult and highest peaks," the press service of the plenipotentiary envoy quotes Igor Komarov.
