Penza, 1 January 2019. PenzaNews. Almost 11,000 people in total participated in mass celebration on New Year's Eve in Penza. This was stated by head of the city administration Victor Kuvaytsev.

"According to law enforcement agencies, about 10,700 people took part in mass New Year's Eve celebrations at 22 city venues," he said.

The mayor specified that no incidents had been registered in places of mass gathering.

"We have prepared a large programme — a lot of cultural and sports events. Throughout the holidays, it is necessary to monitor the improvement of recreation areas to ensure comfortable environment for residents and guests of the city," the press service of the Penza administration quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
