Penza, 28 January 2019. PenzaNews. According to preliminary estimates, the number of permanent population of the Penza region amounted to 1,317,535 people as of January 1, 2019. This was evidenced by data of Rosstat.

This is about 14,000 people less than it was at the beginning of 2018.

According to the information provided, urban population decreased by about 7,000 people – from 912,181 to 905,175 people.

The number of citizens living in rural areas decreased from 419,474 to 412,360 people – by 7,100 people.
