According to the press service of the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office, the sale of foreign products, deliberately purchased by organizers of Internet commerce not for personal use, is unacceptable in Russia and forms part of the offence under Art. 14.2 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offences "Illegal sale of goods (or other items), whose free sale is prohibited or limited".

"In addition, it should be noted that such Internet trade is a support for the economy of the country, which imposed economic sanctions against our state in order to undermine the Russian economy," the supervisory authority said.

The press service explained that after the decision enters into force, it will be sent for execution to Roskomnadzor to block content deemed illegal.
