Penza, 11 February 2019. PenzaNews. 70 batches of low-quality milk and dairy products weighing more than 647 kg were withdrawn from circulation in the Penza region in 2018. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) on Monday, February 11.

It explains that over 12 months the regional centre of hygiene and epidemiology had analysed over 3,350 samples for compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union 033/2013 "On safety of milk and dairy products" on microbiological, sanitary-chemical, physico-chemical, parasitological, radiological and other indicators.

"3.1% of the samples did not meet the requirements," the press release specifies.

It adds that measures aimed at the suppression of illegal actions were taken upon all the facts: the products were withdrawn from sale, fines were imposed, and orders to suspend the sale of goods were issued.
