"The photographer with a capital P died. We express our condolences to the family and friends," a statement on the website of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) runs.

It specifies that the farewell ceremony with Victor Silnov will take place in the ritual hall of the city hospital №6 on Sunday, March 10, at 12.00.

Victor Silnov was a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, the owner of a number of honorary titles – the artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art, Artiste FIAP, Master Fotoart and others.

He participated in many exhibitions and competitions.

At the end of 2018, thanks to the photo "The Winner's Look" he was among the best photographers of the IV contest of the Russian Geographical Society "The most beautiful country" in the nomination "Russia in persons".

In January 2019 he received an official gratitude from the governor.
