Penza, 1 May 2019. PenzaNews. Over 8,000 residents of Penza took part in a rally on the occasion of Spring and Labour Day, which was held in the renovated Lenina square on Wednesday, May 1. This was reported by mayor Victor Kuvaytsev.

"Over 8,400 Penza residents participated in the rally on May Day. Lenina square hardly accommodated all the participants of the event. This suggests that the residents are united in their desire to make life in the city better, more comfortable and brighter," the head of the Penza administration said after the official part of the event.

Victor Kuvaytsev added that year after year the holiday brought together people working every day for the benefit of the regional centre and loving their job, the press service of the city hall reports.
