Penza, 16 May 2019. PenzaNews. The Ministry of Justice of Russia included Penza regional public charity foundation Civil Union in the register of non-profit organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent.

"On May 15, 2019, in accordance with the federal law 'On non-profit organizations' the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the Penza regional public charity organization Civil Union in the register of non-profit organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent," a statement posted on the website of the institution runs.

It is noted that the fact that the foundation complies with the characteristics of a non-profit organization performing the functions of a foreign agent was established by the office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Penza region during an unscheduled documentary inspection.

The Civil Union foundation was established on February 27, 2002, and registered in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Its mission is to develop charity and support civil initiatives in the Penza region.

It is one of the founders of the Partnership of Local Community Foundations in Russia and CIS countries.

The programmes of the foundation Civil Union include Spring of Hope, Children of War, Kind Penza, Technology for the Benefit and others.
