Penza, 19 May 2019. PenzaNews. Frosts down to -3°C...0°C including in the soil are expected in some areas of the Penza region at night and in the morning on May 20-21. This is stated in a warning published on the website of the main regional department of the EMERCOM of Russia.

It notes that frosts are dangerous for agricultural plants, which are recommended to be covered with a polymer film or non-woven material.

"Frosts make roads particularly dangerous and may cause disruption in motor transport service as well as increase the number of road accidents. Car owners and pedestrians should be more careful in this unfavourable period," the text explains.

It is added that when travelling it is necessary to take weather conditions into account.
