Workers started the construction of stairs that will become an element of pedestrian connection between Kirova Street, where several attractions are located including the Pioneer sculpture, the Museum of One Painting, the defensive earthworks, and the square where the Spassky Cathedral is being built.

Now it is already possible to see the outlines of the future construction in spite of the fact that the main part of the land plot adjoining the sidewalk is enclosed by a metal fence.

According to the project decision posted on the website of the administration of Penza, in the future walking up the stairs one will be able to reach the upper walking area, which is planned to be equipped near the defensive earthworks at the historic building of the Lermontov Penza Region Library.

It will also be possible to walk towards the building of the former Rodina cinema, which was returned to the ownership of the region, the stele Glory to Heroes, the cathedral, the Savitsky picture gallery and the governor's house.
