Librarian from Penza learns audio descriptive commentary

Penza, 15 July 2019. PenzaNews. Chief librarian of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library Ekaterina Obushnikova did a training course on audio descriptive commentary in specialized institute Rehacomp in Moscow.

The training was conducted in accordance with a special programme developed by author of the Russian concept of audio descriptive commentary, director of the institute Sergey Vanshin. The audience consisted of specialists from Russia and Ukraine.

During their studies, they had a chance to work with professional equipment and honed the skills of sounding events of films, theatre pieces, and contents of museum exhibitions. Also, the students visited performances with audio descriptive commentary in Sovremennik Theatre of Moscow, State Darwin Museum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

The training ended with end-of-course assessment, which was passed by the representative of the Penza region successfully.

The course was organized by the charitable foundation of Alisher Usmanov Art, Science and Sport in the framework of the programme Special View aimed at supporting people with visual impairment, the website of the library informs.
