Penza chess player Andrei Tersintsev dies

Penza, 5 August 2019. PenzaNews. Andrei Tersintsev, a pupil of the regional sports and adaptive school, multiple winner of chess championships of Russia and the world among persons with spinal cord injury, died at the age of 21 on Monday, August 5.

"A real athlete, a man of invincible will and firm character, who served as a remarkable example to all those who connected their lives with adaptive sport, passed away. [...] Andrei [Tersintsev] was a responsive, kind and humble man, full of plans for the future. The bright memory of him will remain in our hearts forever. We express our sincere condolence and share the bitterness of the loss with relatives and friends," the statement published on the official website of the regional Ministry of Sports runs.
As Vladimir Novikov, chairman of the board of the regional federation for disabled athletes Povolzhye, told PenzaNews, lying in repose will take place on Wednesday, August 7, in Andrei Tersintsev's native village Sosnovka.
