Penza, 22 August 2019. PenzaNews. Host of the travel programme Let's Travel, Let's Eat John Warren, who visited Penza with the crew of NTV channel for the first time, shared his impressions of the city and its surroundings.

"This is a true Russia," he said in an interview with a PenzaNews journalist.

According to John Warren, Penza is located at a good distance away from the Russian capital.

"It is located many kilometres enough from Moscow not to feel its gravitation; one can feel an absolutely full life here that absolutely excludes the capital. It is somehow difficult to imagine, being a Muscovite, and it is very nice," the interlocutor explained.

He added that he had seen "all the signs of a city that lives well" and had something interesting to do and to see.

"I thought Penza is much smaller than it really is, [...] like Vologda," the host said.

John Warren mentioned that before the trip Penza had been among the six regional centres in Russia, where he had not been yet. Now the list includes only Saratov and Kurgan, which he will visit in 2019, as well as Kirov, Chita and Birobidzhan, where the film crew intends to go in 2020.
