Penza, 10 September 2019. PenzaNews. The animals of the Penza zoo experienced stress on September 7, when the institution had an open day and about 36,000 people took advantage of the opportunity to enter the zoo free of charge. This was announced by governor Ivan Belozertsev.

"The zoo has a wish and claim of the management: in connection with a huge number of visitors at a time [...] the animals are under a lot of stress," he said during an operational meeting held in the government of the Penza region on Tuesday, September 10.

Ivan Belozertsev called for this to be taken into account in the future.

"We'll have to do everything right when there are such campaigns, so that there shouldn’t be any problems," he explained.
