A theatrical prologue dedicated to the events of 1612, when the militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky had liberated Moscow from Polish invaders, opened a rally on the occasion of the Day of National Unity in Yubileynaya Square of Penza on Monday, November 4.

According to Valery Lidin, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Penza region and secretary of the regional office of United Russia, the unity of the people helped the state in the most difficult periods of its history.

In turn, member of the State Duma of Russia Ivan Firyulin thanked Penza residents, who despite cool weather came to the square to participate in the festive rally.

Then the floor was given to the representatives of youth and public organizations, which was followed by a small concert.
