National Unity Day celebrated with rally in Penza's Yubileynaya Square

Penza, 4 November 2019. PenzaNews. A theatrical prologue dedicated to the events of 1612, when the militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky had liberated Moscow from Polish invaders, opened a rally on the occasion of the Day of National Unity in Yubileynaya Square of Penza on Monday, November 4.

This was followed by the address of the authorities to the audience.
According to Valery Lidin, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Penza region and secretary of the regional office of United Russia, the unity of the people helped the state in the most difficult periods of its history.
Our strength is in our unity. I wish health, happiness and prosperity to all Penza citizens and every Penza family. Happy holiday, dear friends!" he said.
In turn, member of the State Duma of Russia Ivan Firyulin thanked Penza residents, who despite cool weather came to the square to participate in the festive rally.
"Let Russia thrive in peace, kindness and harmony!" he stressed.
Then the floor was given to the representatives of youth and public organizations, which was followed by a small concert.
