Penza, 5 December 2019. PenzaNews. A consignment of pears weighing 955 kg, which was seized at the Optorg Severny wholesale and retail market in Penza, was destroyed at a solid waste landfill. This was reported by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Republic of Mordovia and Penza region.

According to the agency, the reason for the withdrawal of these products from the point of sale was the lack of accompanying documents. There were signs label failure and re-marking, as well as stamps indicating Poland as the country of origin.

The decision to destroy the consignment of pears was taken in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 391 of July 29, 2015 "On certain special economic measures to ensure the security of the Russian Federation".
