In accordance with an order of the regional government, the Ministry of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of Penza region in cooperation with the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia should organize checkpoints to detect illegal trafficking and purchase of coniferous trees and sets of branches from December 10 to 31.

There will also be raids on forest areas where illegal logging is possible.
