Penza residents to plant 100,000 trees during "Garden of Memory - Garden of Life" event
Penza, 20 February 2020. PenzaNews. More than 100,000 trees are planned to be planted in Penza region during the campaign "Garden of Memory – Garden of Life", which is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry.

"To date, all districts of the region have identified accessible areas for planting trees with a total area of over 37 hectares," said the agency, adding that those included parks, recreation areas and alleys.
The press service explained that seedlings and saplings of pine, chestnut, ash, English oak, maple, apple, linden, mountain ash and other types of trees and shrubs had been prepared.
"The campaign will be held until July 1," said the Ministry of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of Penza region.
