Penza residents carry flowers to Victory Monument despite restrictions due to coronavirus

Penza, 9 May 2020. PenzaNews. People of all ages carry flowers to the Military and Labour Valour Monument on the day of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, despite the restrictions in the region under the high alert regime, which was introduced due to the threat of novel coronavirus infection COVID-19.

Many come with families and in groups.
There are police officers on duty at every staircase to keep order. However, they do not interfere with the passage to the memorial of people who violated self-isolation.
Some Penza residents, who considered it their duty to honour the memory of those fallen in the Great Patriotic War, have protective masks on their faces, others are without them.
Not everyone observes social distance.
There is a guard of honour at the Military and Labour Valour Monument. The area near the monument is decorated for the holiday: voluminous red stars, banners and streamers are placed.
Residents of apartment buildings on Karpinskogo Street hung Russian flags in windows and on balconies.
