More than 6 500 people die in Penza region in January-April

Penza, 25 June 2020. PenzaNews. 6 513 residents of Penza region died in January-April 2020, which is 180 people, or 2.8%, more than in the same period of 2019. This is evidenced by data from the Federal State Statistics Service.

The number of children born decreased by 316 – from 3 412 in the first four months of 2019 to 3 096 in the same period of the current year. The decrease was 9.3%.
The natural decline in Penza region increased and amounted to 3 417 people in January-April 2020. A year ago, the figure was less – 2 921.
According to data of the Federal State Statistics Service, which can still be clarified, information about six dead people in Penza region, whose main cause of death was coronavirus and the virus COVID-19 was identified, was also taken into account when preparing statistics for April.
In addition, the official statistics reflect two lethal outcomes when coronavirus infection COVID-19 was not the main cause of death and did not have a significant impact on the development of fatal complications of diseases.
