Penza, 29 October 2020. PenzaNews. 4 754 kg of waste batteries were collected in educational organizations of Penza region during the “Recycle batteries with Duracell” project, which started in the spring of 2020, and entered the active phase of implementation in September-October. This was reported by Alina Mozhachkina-Gribanova, head of the regional branch of the EKA movement.

“In the near future the collected batteries will be transported to a Chelyabinsk plant for processing,” said the agency's interlocutor.

According to her, delivery of used batteries to a centralized accumulation point was carried out by regional operators for the management of municipal solid waste, and the costs of recycling the collected batteries were fully covered by Duracell.
