Penza, 3 February 2021. PenzaNews. Andrei Luzgin, head of the Penza administration, expects that the new circus, which entered the final stage of construction, and the children's railway, which is due to be renovated as part of a major reconstruction, will contribute to the development of family tourism once it becomes operational.

“In terms of developing family tourism, we are now looking at facilities such as the zoo and the circus after renovation. Our aim is to create a route for families who come to Penza for a few days and want to have an active holiday here. A children's railway should be included into this route,” he said during a meeting with representatives of the Kuibyshev Railway, held online on Wednesday, February 3.

Commenting on the proposal of Kuibyshev Railway employees to create an ethnographic park on the territory of the Children's Railway in Penza to become a cultural recreation area, Andrei Luzgin expressed an opinion that such a facility would be of interest to tourists.

“Having an ethnic park in such a context is a big advantage,” the press service of the city administration quotes the mayor.
