Penza, 4 April 2021. PenzaNews. 4 030 people died in Penza region in January-February 2021, which is 826 more than in the same period of 2020; the increase was 25.8%. This was evidenced by data of Rosstat.

The number of births in the first two months of 2021 was 1 312. This is 231 fewer babies than in January-February 2020. The decrease is 15%.

Thus, the natural population decline in Penza region, i.e. the excess of deaths over births, was 2 718 people in the first two months of 2021.

In the first two months of 2020, the figure was lower and equalled 1 661.
