Penza, 25 April 2021. PenzaNews. The condition of children who were poisoned by chlorine at the Volna swimming pool in the town of Nizhny Lomov, Penza region, is assessed as stable. This was announced by acting governor Oleg Melnichenko.

“The condition of the children is stable and not life-threatening. All necessary medical measures are being taken,” he said.

Oleg Melnichenko added that, on doctors’ recommendations, all the children had been left in hospitals for another 24 hours, where their state of health was constantly monitored.

“I ask parents to treat the decision of doctors with understanding. If the recovery rate allows, the children will be discharged from the medical institutions and released home on Monday,” the press service of the regional government quoted the governor.
