“This long-awaited day occupies a special place in the spiritual life of every Orthodox believer. It embraces the dream of universal brotherhood and love, fills our hearts with lofty ideals of humanism, inspires us to do good deeds and gives us hope for a change for the better,” the regional head said.

Oleg Melnichenko notes that through its righteous deeds aimed at strengthening of moral ideals, family values and traditions, the Russian Orthodox Church promotes moral norms, a sense of compassion and mercy in society.

“I wish you, dear friends, your family and your loved ones good health, warmth of heart, prosperity and all the best!” the acting governor stressed.
