Penza, 13 May 2021. PenzaNews. More than 200 people are expected to take part in the two-day EkoVes event, which will be held on the banks of the Sura Reservoir in Penza region this coming weekend, May 15-16. This was stated in a message of the press service of the Penza administration.

“The participants will join in teams of five and clean the littoral area of the Sura Reservoir from Emelka brook to the Medoevka river. [...] During two days the participants will be accompanied by volunteers who will help with equipment, orientation and rubbish collection,” the announcement says.

It notes that the glass, plastic, paper and metal collected during the campaign will be recycled.

“Once each team has completed the clean-up, the result of the work will be counted and recorded. It will be counted, how many trucks and bags of litter each team collected, as well as each individual. It is planned to sum up the results on Monday, May 17,” the text adds.
