PenzaNews. 19 people died in Penza region since the swimming season began: six people died in Penza, four in Kuznetsky area, three in Penzensky area, two each in Kamensky and Belinsky areas, and one each in Shemysheysky, Issinsky, Nizhnelomovsky, Serdobsky, Pachelmsky, Tamalinsky, Zemetchinsky, Bekovsky as well as Narovchatsky areas. Such data was posted on the website of the main department of EMERCOM of Russia for Penza region.

As the agency says, the bodies of all the dead were found in places prohibited for swimming.

According to official data, there are 37 beaches in Penza region, 22 of which were organised by municipalities.

The rest of the recreational areas by the water are not classified as beaches. The safety of citizens in such areas is not ensured.
