Penza, 24 September 2021. PenzaNews. The centre of Penza became an attraction for young people thanks to the improvements to public areas made over the past few years as part of the programme for the formation of modern urban environment. This opinion was expressed by Vladimir Mutovkin, head of Penza and member of the United Russia faction in the City Duma.

“Look at how appealing the centre has become now – for our young people first and foremost. In the evening, especially on weekends, you just can’t get through Lenina Square, Moskovskaya Street, or Fontannaya Square,” he said at the 27th regular session of the City Duma, held on Friday, September 24.

Vladimir Mutovkin added that the work to make the public areas look good had to be continued.

At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that the state of the courtyard areas that had been improved in previous years under the programme for the formation of modern urban environment also drew a lot of positive feedback from residents.
