Penza, 18 October 2021. PenzaNews. Information about unauthorised tree felling in the Akhuny neighbourhood of Penza was passed on to law enforcement authorities. This was stated in a message of the press service of the city administration.

“Previously, during its daily patrols in the area of Konnozavodskaya Street, the contractor carrying out routine maintenance of urban forests identified dead trees threatening the health and life of citizens, as well as possible property damage. As part of the municipal contract, sawing work was carried out in October this year, resulting in four old trees being cut down,” the text said.

“Permission to cut down other green spaces in this neighbourhood wasn’t issued, in connection with which the city’s housing and utilities department filed an appeal with law enforcement agencies,” the message adds.
