Lvova-Belova appointed Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights

Penza, 27 October 2021. PenzaNews. Maria Lvova-Belova, native of Penza, senator of the Russian Federation and representative of the Penza region government, was appointed Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I hereby resolve to appoint Maria Alekseevna Lvova-Belova as Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights for a period of five years,” reads the document, the text of which is published on the Kremlin website.

The resolution comes into force on the day of signing.

Prior to that, the post of children’s ombudsman was held by Anna Kuznetsova, who was relieved of this post due to her election to the State Duma. She also comes from Penza.
