Penza, 14 November 2021. PenzaNews. Penza region governor Oleg Melnichenko shared photos with his Instagram followers from the park commemorating the 40th anniversary of Victory, where it is planned to install a stele in honour of awarding Penza the honorary title of City of Labour Valour.

“I want to show you how preparations for the installation of the City of Labour Valour stele are made. This is an important event for Penza and the entire region,” he wrote.

“The place for the stele was chosen by the people of Penza, and I fully agree with their decision. The park, dedicated to the anniversary of Victory Day, is the best place to install the stele. The project was developed very carefully and was supported by the presidential administration and the Russian Military Historical Society,” said the governor.

He added that, according to his colleagues from other regions, the Penza project was one of the best.

“We will have completed the installation of the stele by the end of December,” Oleg Melnichenko assured.

He also expressed his confidence that Penza would be proud to bear the honorary title of City of Labour Valour.
