Regional Prosecutor’s Office interested in cases of dogs attacking people

Penza, 13 November 2021. PenzaNews. The Prosecutor’s Office of Penza region organised additional checks on the implementation of legislation on handling animals without owners due to the increasing number of attacks on people by dogs, usually without owners. This was stated in a message of the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the region.

“The inspections will assess activities of regional and local authorities in the said sphere, as well as economic entities engaged in catching and keeping animals without owners,” the text said.
It adds that prosecutorial response measures will be taken if there are grounds for doing so.
“The progress and results of the inspection are under the control of the regional Prosecutor’s Office,” the statement said.
