Penza, 5 December 2021. PenzaNews. 20 823 people died in Penza region in January-October 2021, which is 15.2% more than during the same period in 2020. This was evidenced by data of Rosstat.

The number of children born in the region in the ten months of this year was 7 855. This is 243 fewer children than in January-October of last year. The decrease is 3%.

Thus, the natural population decline in Penza region, that is, the excess of the number of deaths over births, in January-October 2021 was 12 968 people. According to the results of 10 months of 2020 the natural decline in population was 9 978 people.

In October 2021, 809 children were born and 2 858 people died in Penza region.
