Penza, 24 June 2011. PenzaNews. The governor Vasily Bochkarev refused to support financial with the regional budget the Olympic Reserve School on wrestling. With the request for help addressed to the head of the region the president of Judo Federation of the Penza region Nikolai Barashkin appealed during the meeting on Thursday, June 23.

Nikolay Barashkin said in the interview with the internet-service "Penza-Sport": "The wrestling school cannot survive only thanks to sponsors and the city budget. It is unreal. Thus we lose the connection with the district schools, though strengthening and development is the main task of the federation".

According to Vasily Bochkarev, the center of the higher achievements in sport would be created in the Penza region and money for the education of the future Olympians would be channeled to this center.

According to Nikolay Barashkin, earlier the wrestling school got 6 million rubles every year from the regional budget.

The president of the wrestling federation said: "The other schools of the Olympic reserve receive much more. We search sponsors ourselves to go the competitions. The liquidation of wrestling school is a serious blow on the development of the given sport in the region while the country's leaders declare that sambo-wrestling would be necessary included in the program of the Olympic Games".
